Great gps after trying many others

I bought the Garmin nuvi 260W since my wife recently then decided to try it out during a roadtrip from alabama to kansas. I found nuvi to be simple then unconstrained to use. My greatest complaint would have to be with the route selection. When you picked an address, city, or point of curiousity to navigate to, the nuvi calculates a route then gives you directions. For example, i was leaving alabama on my tradition to kansas then the route it wanted me to take was via a smaller highway which i knew contained multiple red lights then train tracks. I wanted to take the interstate; i knew it was faster with less traffice. However, after a abruptly distance, the nuvi did recalculate then go along with the route i already had in mind. Also when i came to a split in the interstate, it gave a direction to stay left or stay right, which would have been nice if i didn’t know whereabouts i was going. The point of curiousity search was beneficial while well; one tempo i had to get off on an exit then i couldn’t view a gas station, i searched since the closest one then it led me straight to it. You can in addition plug it in to you computer then get new vehicle icons, then system updates. I haven’t tried it yet, however you can create your own points of curiousity then proximity alerts.
